STM's - High Chair

So - confession - the baby gear board intimidates me a bit - and I like you ladies

Would you mind recommending your High Chair? I don't want the buckle to the kitchen chair kind. I was looking at the kind that can convert but I'm unsure of what to really look for in a high chair. I don't care about it matching my kitchen decor or anything - just something easy and light and easy to clean/disinfect.

SN - I know I really need to invest in the baby bargin books - but so far Amazon.com reviews and blogs have been working.

we just used the standard Graco High Chair (got it at babies r us). It has the straps to buckle baby in, slide in and out tray, reclining back on it....through two kids its still in great condition for number 3!

We have the Fisher Price Zen collection high chair and it has been great. I wanted something adjustable, not covered in crazy colors/animals and one that had a tray that would sit flat on the counter (a lot have the leg divider attached to the tray so it never sits flat). I also like that the tray snaps onto the arms by pushing down (you don't have to fuss to line things up to get the tray on, if that makes any sense).

This is the one we have and I like it so far. The legs come off so you can take the seat with and and secure it to a regular chair.

I forget the exact name, but I think it might be the Fisher Price Easy-Clean Luv U Zoo. We LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

We have this one and like it. I do wish that it folded up a little more compact for evenings when we have people over and would like to get it out of the way . . . but whatever, that's a small complaint in the big scheme of things. I do love the recline (many high chairs have this) - because we started having DS sit at the table with us during meals long before he was sitting up or ready for food. It was just nice to have him there for part of our family time . . .

Yes! We use it for every meal that we are at home! We have the graco duo diner, and have no complaints. I will say this though, it's not something you need until at LEAST the 5th month or so! I would try to push people to get stuff that you need right away, we never had the high chair on our registry! If you decide to start feeding them at 4 months- a bouncy seat or their carseat works just fine!

We have a Baby Trend high chair that was pretty inexpensive and we have used it for 2 kids already and are ordering a new cover for this LO because ours is just starting to get torn up from washing it.

I really like it and like the portability. We take the chair off and bring it to my Mom's and my in-laws all the time. When we travel to Michigan, we bring the chair too. It would be better if it was smaller for our trip to MI, but it works.

The chair pad is machine washable and washes up great! DD sat on blueberries a few weeks ago and you can't tell by looking at her seat!

We have the boon flair and love it. Looks did matter to me since it is an ever-present piece of furniture. I like that it's on wheels (seriously so nice - my moms isn't and it's a great feature) and the tray fits in dw easy (watch out for trays where the legs separator is attached to tray - often wont fit in dw or sink). Reviews complain the tray is small but ime that isn't an issue. Did not need recline feature at all. Didn't care about turning into booster. Right now h is in high hair but we need a booster for travel too . They are cheap and it's convenient to have both IMO.
