Babies: 9 - 12 Months

how many bottles is LO drinking now?

DD is currently taking 4 bottles (7am, 11:30, 4, 7- times are appx, depends on her naps)

I can't remember when I dropped my other daughter from 4 to 3 bottles.  Thinking of getting rid of the 4pm bottle.

When did you/when will you go to 3 bottles? thanks ladies!

Re: how many bottles is LO drinking now?

  • I think DD1 was down to 3 bottles (7, 3, and 7) by about 9-10 months.

DD2 is 10 months old and takes 4 bottles at about 6:30, 11, 3, and 7. She's a great solids eater, but only weight 16 lbs, so I don't think we'll be dropping a bottle until she's off formula and getting more calories from solids.

  • LOL!  DS still drinks 5 bottles/sippies a day.  It seems like he's starting to drop the before bed one, though.

  • By 10 months we were already switching over fully to sippy cups during the day and DS was taking 1 - 2 bottles at night. Now we are down to just one night bottle about half the time and none the other half.

  • We just switched this weekend.  We are doing (3) 7oz feedings:  7am, 1:30pm @ 7:30pm.  Morning and night are bottles.  Middle of day is in sippy cup.
  • DD eats a ton of solids. She is down to 2 bottles, 6 oz when she wakes up and 4 oz before bed.  The rest of the day she drinks water from a sippy.
  • This past week DS has been drinking less, but he's also been sick. So I'm not sure if it's just poor appetite, but I think he may be getting ready to drop down to 3 bottles soon too. he doesn't drink real efficiently out of the sippy yet to switch to that.

  • jealous of you ALL!!!  Severe reflux little man is still taking 5 bottles a day...(will be 9 months next week)  I can't wait until I dont have to clean another bottle...ahhhhhh

he loves drinking out of a normal glass (water) since he grabs at our cups, but when it comes to sippy cup he barely drinks anything... Suggestions?

Somedays she has 4 and other days she has 5.  Each bottle is 5 ounces except when she takes the extra 5:00 one which is 4 ounces.  She hardly ever finishes a 6 oz bottle, so we quit giving it to her.
