most annoying thing about pumping...

is not having your supervisor almost walk in on you (the door was locked he was going to open it with his key, serves him right, he would have been so embarrassed)

BUT it is almost have a heart attack when the little membrane part almost goes down the drain while cleaning it.

I think they laugh at Medela about this when they make the replacement packs.

UGH!

    my boss once had an entire conversation thru my door when he realized i was pumping. awkward! he could have just walked away. but he felt the need to tell me "i support what you're doing in there". it's now become an office joke, whenever i go pump, people tell me they support what i'm doing.

    Yeah I hear ya about the membrane thing...  and about the boss, too.  I had a boss who brought in a client he wanted me to meet... so instead of WAITING like a sane person, they went into the vacant office next to the vacant one I was pumping in and proceeded to talk to me through the wall... to this day I have never seen that client in person, as that was the only time he was in the office - we did an entire project via email and phone!!  And yes, the client was aware of what i was doing - the boss precluded the conversation with "that noise is her pump, she takes milk home for her baby".  Shouldn't there be an etiquitte book for that??

    LMAO!!! That is sooooo funny.

    I was pumping one time and someone knocked on my door, which has a very large, bold, 72 pt, red font sign: "Do not disturb, I will be available in 15 minutes"

    I was like "Come back in 10 minutes, please"

    *knock knock knock*

    "I'M BUSY, PLEASE COME BACK LATER."

    *twisting the door knob*

    I was muttering an obscene amount of obscenities, shut down, buttoned up and opened the door to b*tch them out to find my hubby sitting there laughing.  LOL I was about to choke him!

    I haven't lost a membrane yet! What's up with that??
