page lay out and buttons?

Is there a way to change the page layout so that the website uses some of the massive empty space to either side of the active webpage? The viewing area is so damn narrow.  Also the add picture and add smiley buttons don't work? 

 

umm also I have 75 points? Am I winning?

    Geeked Mine are working, maybe you are doing it wrong.  If you don't be careful all your points might get erased.  I think you win the internet at 93

    do you use a mac? My wife who uses the board suggested that the buttons only work on macs.

    IE really? hmm, maybe I'll just program my own macro script. IE and I have a bad break-up over some tabbed browsing issues, long story short I ended up with chrome, firefox, even netscape. I don't think IE would take me back even if I wanted her to.
