Lite bike recs please

I'm looking to buy a 16 inch with training wheels for DS. I would prefer to have a lite one.
MIL got him a pretty heavy trike a while back and even though he rides daycare trikes without a problem he pretty much refused to pedal the heavy one. I would like to avoid this with the big boy bike.

Its shipping weight is 24 pounds. Most other 16" bikes I found on Amazon had a shipping weight between 28 and 34 pounds. Not sure how much of that is packaging.
My DD's first bike was SO heavy -- it sucked! That stupid bike is heavier than my 26" hybrid mountain bike/cruiser! It really made it hard for her to learn. .
I think you are smart to look for a lighter bike.
