DH is still recovering. Not back at work yet. We still have 4 long weeks ahead before we know if he'll be getting chemo.
He can't pick up L for 6 WEEKS so I'm struggling a bit trying to do everything. Even though he's home he can't help with diaper changes, feeding (because he can't put her in her chair), putting her to bed, or basically anything. I'm exhausted and the first tri nausea and tiredness isn't fading yet.
On top of that I just found out that some good friends of ours ( a couple) was due in February, too, but had a miscarriage earlier this week. I feel terrible and don't want to tell anyone about our pregnancy because I know how hard it will be for them. So sad. I'm hoping they get PG again very soon and I'm just going to keep our secret for as long as possible (our families know and some close friends but they don't see these friends often) so that they have time to deal before hearing our news.
I'm also trying my best to support my friend who is pregnant with a baby who has health problems. It's very scary and stressful and we just don't know what will happen at this point.
When it rains it pours, right? This momma needs a giant glass of wine, but alas, no wine for me. Maybe that's why I've been shoveling cookies in my face like cookie monster.
What's up with everyone else?
Re: Not much news, but the board is slow, so...
Wow, Incogneato, that's a ton to deal with and a lot of people you're supporting. Maybe you could use your teacher connections to find a high school kid who could come over one or two times a week to help out with lunch or dinner or something to give you a bit of a rest.
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
That is a lot to deal with when you are feeling good but having to deal with it during 1st Tri just makes it that much worse. I really am hoping that your DHs results come back saying he doesn't need chemo, fx, good vibes and all that. As for your friends, I think as long as you are there for them you'll be ok and they'll appreciate that.
And don't worry about venting here, slow or not. We've all been together for over 2yrs now and would support anyone who needed it. Vent away, we'll listen.
Oh, that is just too much for one person to deal with!! ((hugs)) Any time you want to vent, please feel free to do it.
I'm jealous of your cookies though. I've been too lazy to buy/make any. haha
