We are in the middle of sleep training DS since he has been waking up every night and taking 1-2 hours to get back down. Up to now he has had to be rocked for every nap and at bedtime. My Aunt watches him during the day out of her house and is on board for sleep training while he is there. Has anyone else had a nanny or daycare help with this and did you get effective results?
Thanks!!
Re: sleep training-naps at daycare
Our daycare has 7 little ones to 2 teachers...so rocking them all to sleep/holding til they sleep is just not feasible. I asked daycare to get him on a schedule...they pretty much said when they are tired, they put them in their crib... it took about 7 months for him to get into some sort of routine.
He seems to take shorter naps at school than on the weekends and then is usually exhausted by 6:30/7pm. I just lay him down and let him cry for about 10-15 min, if he's still crying I'll go in and see whats going on...good luck i know it can be ultra frustrating!
