So I went to the doctor and the baby is 100% fine and has a great heartbeat...problem is that I lost 7 lbs and the doctor is having me return for another appt....this week. I am kind of freaked out...should i be?
I think it all depends on how small you were to begin with. I lost my appetite for most of my pregnancy so far and lost close to 10 lbs, but I am not a small girl to begin with so they were not worried about it at all.
I was very sick with my first pregnancy and lost a lot of weight. My dr. just monitored it really closely, but in the end my daughter was 7lbs 10oz and healthy as can be. They probably just want to keep a close eye on you.

Did you doctor seemed concerned? What appts are they having you come back for?
Over my last 3 appts I haven't gained anything but my doctor didn't seem concerned. He asked if I was eating and eating well and I said yes. I'm sure if the trend continues then he may start to question or want to check things out.
Alot of women loose weight mainly because they are eating healthier for the baby then before. Also, not drinking soda and alcohol could play a huge role for sure.

I heard once that just cutting out soda from your diet could help you to lose 10 pounds due to the carbonation even if you are drinking diet.

I had only gained two pounds until last week, then gained 4-5. Every time I weigh myself it's different. Somedays I've gained two and some days seven. I really don't know and I use the same scale. I'm worried to go to the doc next week and they tell me I'm enormous

I wouldn't be concerned about 7lbs unless it happened dramatically. I assume you mean you've lost 7lbs since the start of your pregnancy?
Did your doctor say they wanted you to return in a week specifically because of the weight topic? I would definitely ask them for more of an explanation on why they're concerned.

Im confused. Carbonation = air, no?
I'm pretty sure it's the calories, and not the carbonation, that causes you to lose weight when you give up soda. The carbonation can just make you bloated, but bloat holds no weight.
It's the calories and sugar. If you drink a soda that's 160 calories and someone else eats 160 calories worth of food, the one that ate the calories will have it converted to energy but the one who drank it will just keep the calories. And diet soda is flavored with aspertame which is really bad for you.
