The grandparents watched E tonight to DH and I could go to dinner with some good friends who were in town for the weekend. As usual, Poppy and Nanny did an awesome job with her -but- they didn't put the d%$^ Snuza on her. They think the Snuza is totally ridiculous and "forget" to use it every.single.time. This drives me totally insane.
E is asleep. DH and I tried to slide it on her, but its a no go. I guess its a dumb idea to wake her up. So this will be her first night without the Snuza. I'm crazy nervous. That girl will go to college with the snuza clipped to her pants!
Re: I'm such a chicken...
It frustrates me SO much when my IL's conveniently "forget" to do something I ask them to do, because that is how WE do it. We have had several similar situations.
I'm sure everything will be fine with out the Snuza! Don't worry yourself too much!

I don't understand why they can't accept that its my turn and we're going to do it my way this time. They had their turn. And I know there were silly things that my grandparents did with me that drove my parents nuts. When you know better (scientific advances and whatnot), you do better.
I think it would be a helpful exercise for me to write this down somewhere so I'll remember to behave myself when E grows up and has babies of her own
Its an small apnea monitor that clips to the diaper and monitors the baby's breathing. If the baby were to stop breathing, it sounds an alarm.
My parents think I'm ridiculous because E is a perfectly healthy child and she's 9 months old now, so the risk of SIDS is very low. Regardless, I sleep better knowing that she's wearing her Snuza monitor. At $120, its cheaper than xanax in the long run
