What are your thoughts on last night's show?

I will admit, I haven't watched it yet, but I do know who wins... I was right in my prediction, but I still think it is a very odd match.

So I loved Arie and i know you havent watched it yet but watch the after the rose reunion show. You will be amazed at what he did and how Emily treated him after the show. I think she is lame and if you notice she doesnt really shed any tears she just sniffles a lot.

I also think its an odd match but a friend of mine told me her thoughts and it made sense. When she went and met his family she saw how much money he had and how stable he was vs arie being a race car driver and not really being in a place to settle into something.

I don't buy the whole money thing... only because the girl has some serious money of her own. She and "little Ricki" will be more than taken care of by her ex-fi family forever.

Stability maybe, but I don't think it was about money.

I am going to watch it as soon as I can find the time. I am really curious now!

I was surprised by her picking Jef, but I think she did it because she felt comfortable with him (as she said over and over last night). But I also think she picked the "safe" guy for her daughter. Arie would have been a good husband, but Jef made the better dad and that is why she picked him IMO.

I agree with most of this. I would've been surprised, but last night it did seem as though it was more natural with Jef. I have to say I am an Emily fan after seeing how she never followed the show's "rules" and did things her way... Especially last night.

I think the biggest difference is that Jefff was all about Ricki as well. I really noticed this when Jeff was talking after meeting her parents and asking her dad's permission when he said something along the lines of "now the only thing to do now is meet Ricki and then everything will be perfect", whereas Arie said "now the only thing to do now is ask Emily to marry me".

For Jeff, meeting Ricki was the next step and he felt that it was so important for him to meet her. For Arie, not so much.

I cannot imagine going into a commitment like an engagement without meeting a child that will be your step child. Being a step parent, especially a custodial step parent, is a HUGE commitment and a lot of work. It shouldn't be taken lightly.

I also think that she was more HOT for Arie than being truly in love with him He was a good kisser from what she said a million times.

If Ricki were not in the picture, Arie would have been her choice and they likely would break up in 6 months.

Jef is a bit different and not your typical "winner" for this type of show. But he seems to be a standup guy and sincere. Crossing my fingers for them simply because it would be nice if they could stay together.

I am really impressed that she didn't let Arie get down on one knee and propose to her when she knew Jef was going to be her pick. That would be so humiliating for him and she spared him that at least.

I don't think she picked Jef for the money. I think when she met his family she saw how "family oriented" they were and she said from the beginning that she wants that. He also always thought of her daughter and let her know that. I hope they work out. They definitely aren't your typical bachelorette couple but that's probably a good thing since the typical couple never seems to work out on that show.

I'm glad it was Jef. He really won me over the past few episodes and Arie's family made me uncomfortable. I think with Arie their connection was more physical. Jef's sweet and seems more family-oriented.
