House guests

My husbands uncle, aunt and 17 year old cousin are here since Friday night and staying until tomorrow morning. It is so strenuous! They are super loud and the guest bathroom is right next to DS's room. They don't seem to know how to use the door handle and just pull the door closed and then bang around with whatever in the bathroom and wake up DS. :-( They also (all 3 of them) shower twice a day?! Of course the second time after I put DS down for the night, so he wakes up again. 

I can't wait for them to leave tomorrow!

    I don't like having house guests at all. You should turn the water heater off and act like you have no idea.

    That sucks.  I hate when people just don't get it.  Hopefully LO and you get some sleep!

    Hahahaha, kwinkle! I really should do that. We don't have a guest room, so the aunt and uncle sleep in my husband's office on a really nice futon and the cousin on an air mattress in the living room. Friday night, when they arrived, I said that I'd have a Skype date with my mum at 8 am (from my computer in the living room) and they said "no worries, we'll sleep until 9 am or so anyway". It took all I had to not laugh out loud. There is a baby in this house, do they really think we all get to hang out until the wee hours and then sleep in? They learned pretty quickly that our routine is different!

    I'm sorry!  I also dislike house guests (and I agree with Kwinkle on the hot water heater).  My MIL/FIL/SIL were here about a month ago and we dealt with all the same things (general noise/doors/loud footsteps/voices).  They drove me nuts.  I was happy to see taillights.

    I second turning off the hot water :)

    Next summer we have my mom, aunt, and uncle for 2 weeks, my dad and step mom for two weeks, inlaws for two weeks, plus DH's brother, best friend, and my cousin expressed interest in coming but have not given us extact dates...I hope there are enough weeks in the summer...no one wants to visit Scotland in the winter.

    Bwahahahaaa!  That totally cracked me up.  

    When my mom was staying with us, she refused to even flush the toilet in the guest bathroom because she was afraid it would wake up DS...LOL, quite the opposite of your houseguests.
