S/O sore nips :-p

Chunstad's post got me wondering .. a possibly stupid question, but I'm asking it anyway.

What else would cause your nipples to be sore besides being pregnant? Mine are killing me everytime L nurses, I know she's not biting them because I'm sure that would kill a lot more.

Also, I pumped maybe 4 or 5 times last Monday and Tuesday when I had training for my job.. could they still be sore from that?

Basically, I'm j/w if my sore nips could be a sign of baby number 2 ... (DH and I may or may not have TTC this month.. sshhh)

  • Only one of mine has been sore. Like toe curling, nearly crying sore. I'm not pregnant,so I'm not sure what's going on.

  • Again, I do not breast feed, but I often get sore nipples before I get my period (or used to, anyways, it has been a while).

If you look at your nipples, do they look different? Mine changed color when I got pregnant for the first tri. And go, POaS and update us!

  • I'm just getting over a couple weeks of terrible pinching pain while nursing. Pretty sure DD was responsible. It's not biting (felt that! it's very sharp) but I think she was clamping her jaw down while she was feeding. She's done it before, too. I had a few moments were I was really worried that I couldn't handle it but then it totally went away.

    Is your LO teething?

    Here's hoping it's a baby!!! POAS already!

  • mine were extremely sore a few days before AF returned. it lasted a week.
  • AF! I cringe when E is eating a week or so before AF shows up (but I'm only on my second cycle)

  • Sorry girls, that was an unintentional post-and-run yesterday.. It's still too early for me to POAS and get a correct result, so I'll probably have to wait maybe 4 or 5 days. I will obviously be sure to update then :-)

It could also be a sign of AF, but I've had AF since L was about 4 or 5 months and this is the first time they have been sore like this... so who knows .. I'm going to tell myself that it's because she's teething and possibly "biting" down a little harder.. so as not to get my hopes up...

Thanks for all your responses ladies!! :-)
