Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Can I have a mushy, proud mama moment?

I'm not necessarily looking for a response, however, I'd love to hear about the awesome milestones everyone's LO's have been reaching.

This morning, I took Cari out of her crib, set her on the floor, handed her her Chica doll, and said, "ok, let's go down stairs!"   She, so confidently, walked to the stairs playing with her Chica while she did. I just can't believe she's walking and starting to follow directions! She's just been amazing me everyday with new abilities and improved her walking practically overnight. Just needed to share b/c I think everyone's tired of me gushing over my daughter lol

  • My DD amazes me every day how much she is just soaking up her surroundings.  Lately, I've been blowing bubbles in her face.  She loves them! I have been mouthing the word bubbles to her, and she mimics the sound almost exactly (except for the L).  Makes me so proud she attempts language already.

  • this morning I was laying on the floor playing with DD - she was standing up holding onto my leg and then she just let go...and stood there for probably about 5 seconds! I couldn't believe it and I was so excited for her! :) Of course I tried to get her to do it again so I could get her on the camcorder but she won't do it LOL! It's so bittersweet because I'm so proud of the way she's learning new things but I can't believe she's growing up so fast - as much fun as I'm having with her now I sometimes really miss the newborn phase when she would just lay on my chest and sleep for hours. :)
