And so the adventure begins....

I was very blessed that my DH was able to take 4 weeks off work to spend time with DS and help me get a good routine going. He heads back to work in the morning and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared to be on my own for 10 hours.

Our 1 year old beagle has become such a handful, it's like I have a newborn and a toddler that feels she's not getting enough attention. I can't tell you how many things she has stolen and chewed up. My favorite shoes, re useable breast pads and one of DS shirts have been in the mix.

I hope I can figure out some way to give everyone the attention they need without going crazy. Not so sure I want the 2 under 2 experience anymore haha.

Ditto this! I was terrified and in tears the first day DH went back to work and I was on my own with a 2 week old newborn. Even though the first day was rough, we survived! It's just getting used to. You'll be just fine!

  • Good luck! I'm sure you'll do just fine:) I was very nervous when my husband went back to work the first day also but to tell you the truth- I kind of enjoyed it! It's nice to bond with just my lo and dog. And yes I was more nervous about handling the dog than the babe but my dog stepped up and acted like a big bro, hopefully yours will too!:)

  • Not sure about the dog, but I also got nervous about being alone so long with LO when DH went back to work.  One thing that helped me each day was having someplace to go (little and not crowded) like the Italian ice stand or Starbucks.  Which is ridiculous, but having a plan made me feel less nervous.

Good luck, you will be great :)
