Traveling late 2nd Tri?

DH and I are trying to decide if one last trip as a family of 4 is in the cards for us. We are Disney lovers and want to take our DS 2 and 4 back to Walt Disney World soon. I can't decide is going at almost 7 months pregnant will be comfortable for me or if we should just go after baby is born. Anyone have experience traveling to a place like Disney pregnant or with a young infant. TIA

Re: Traveling late 2nd Tri?

  • We were going to go around late 2nd Tri but decided to wait until this baby is born. We will be going when baby is about. 6-8!weeks old as long as baby is healthy. I guess it just depends on how you are feeling. I have some really bad varicose and spider veins and my legs hurt if I walk to long. We would have been going the end of September when it's still pretty hot,so we decided to wait till baby was born and stay longer. We will be on property for about a  week and a half.

  • No experience myself, but how far and mode of transportation were you thinking?  Drive vs. fly?  Not sure how long the trip to DW where you are.... might help others answer.

If we wait until after baby is born we'll go in February when baby is about 8 weeks. I imagine keeping baby in a wrap and nursing using a cover wherever will be easy.  We'd go in early October if we go while I'm pregnant. I'm sure it will still be hot.

We also stay on property (value or moderate) but only 5 days. 10 days would be a dream.

    thanks for your input.

  • Anytime. We go to Disney every year and love it.  I will either wear baby or use the car seat snapped into the stroller. Good luck with your pregnancy. When are you due? I'm due December 17.

I'm due New Year's Eve. We are new Disney addicts, this will be our 3rd trip. People think we're nuts but there is nothing like experiencing Disney magic with your little ones.

It's about an 8 hour drive to Orlando for us. We go to Disney during low crowd times when the weather is cooler.

I didnt think to add those details, thank you

  • Hoo boy. If it weren't for the 2 and 4 year old, I'd say wait. However, they might be easier to wrangle if your next baby is still in your belly??? It's not the pinnacle of comfort to fly at 7 mo PG, and I have done this. I am also aware of how hard it is to control a toddler on an airplane.

    Good luck, mama!!
