What do you have/want? Where? I have a purple star on top of my right foot near my toes. My mom, sister and I all got one together. I also have two more small stars behind my left ear, one for each of them.

If you have them, do you regret any of them? Do you want more? I usually don't regret them. I only regret the one on my foot when I look at DD's perfect skin and hope she doesn't get one some day. I want to get something done with my kids' names, maybe on the inside of my wrist. I also want one for DH and I, but I'm not sure what or where.

Which ones hurt the most? The one on top of my foot hurt a ton, the ones behind my ear didn't hurt much at all.

What do you have/want? Where? I have a butterfly on my right sholderblade, a skull with a bow on my right ankle and a Hindu theme back piece.

If you have them, do you regret any of them? Do you want more? I regret the ankle and shouder ones. The butterfly was my first and I was 18 and got matching tattoos with a friend, she picked it out. My ankle i had the idea of it but told the guy he could do whatever he wanted with it and I'm not happy with how it turned out.
I want to get 3/4 sleeves one day and the tops of my feet.

Which ones hurt the most? The back piece, not so much on my spine, but when he went out towards my sides it was torture. Plus i'm ticklish, so super pain on top of super ticklish wasn't a fun couple of days.

What do you have/want? Where? I have a heart with butterfly wings on my ankle, and want wings on my back, a celestial tramp stamp, little one's hand on my side and 'be the change' probably on my left forearm.
If you have them, do you regret any of them? Do you want more? No regrets, I started designing my tat at 15 and got it done at 18 so I had a lot of time to think about it. and Yes, I obviously want more.
Which ones hurt the most? Well I only have the one, but the very back of my ankle hurt the worst.

A white and pink daisy on my big toe, two stars on my ankle (between my bone and Achilles tendon), and two stars with stardust on the top of my right foot- one star with a halo for my m/c and one with an L for DS1.

I want to add another star on my foot with a B for DS2.

If you have them, do you regret any of them? Do you want more? Nope, no regrets.

Which ones hurt the most?

The one on my toe. But it was my first, so I'm not sure.

I had a tramp stamp on my lower back that I had covered with a new tattoo that is a lot bigger and less "tramp stampish". lol And I have a butterfly on my hip.If you have them, do you regret any of them? Do you want more? I don't regret them but I did redo one so I like them now.

Which ones hurt the most? The back piece hurt bad once he got to my side.

I have four. My first was a sun/moon/stars/sunset design that I designed. It is on my lower back. I have my Leo symbol on the top of my back but under my neck. The symbol is in a reddish/orange shaded coloring and I have a tribal designed sun that swirls around it. My right foot has a stargazer lily on it and my left foot/ankle has three butterflies with a blue mist connecting them. I want to get my daughter's name in Elvish on the inside of my right wrist.

I don't regret any of them. My feet hurt the worst, by far.

Cherries on outer left thigh (regret), Sorella (sister in Italian, both of my sisters have this too) on my outer right thigh, butterfly on my hip, wedding date on my right wrist, tribal on my lower back (first tattoo, regret it), Rose on back (regret it), hibiscus on the back of my neck, lotus flowers on left and right collar bone and my sons name on the inside of my left bicep.

And smilelari, they really aren't that bad. And after having a baby naturally (especially for you) a tattoo is definitely nothing.

What do you have/want? Where? Shooting star above my ankle, Rose & tribal on lower back & "believe" with a star above the "i" on my wrist

If you have them, do you regret any of them? Do you want more? They all have special/sentimental meaning & I don't regret them at all. I am fighting the urge for another, but I'm not sure what/where.

Which ones hurt the most? Lower back for sure. It's the biggest & took 2.5 hours to complete. Plus, the position I had to sit in sucked!

No, I don't regret it....mostly because sometimes I even forget it is there! Ha! But when I do see it, I'm fine with it. It's not usually visible unless I'm nekkid. Though the other day I was wearing pants that revealed it when I was kneeling down with DD and a friend who didn't know I had it spotted it and pointed it out. Heh.
I do have thoughts on two more but I doubt I'll be motivated on my own to get them done. (If I had a friend who was going to get a tattoo I'd be tempted to go along and get it done...) One is a silver fern done in white on the inside of my wrist. I'm really intrigued by white tattoos -- anyone here got one??? The other one I'm thinking about is one for DD. I've thought about doing her name / initials / birth date / small symbol for her next to my c-section scar but I'm nervous about getting it done in that area (I'm worried it will hurt and that area's kind of stretchy....not to mention, what would happen if I got preggo again??).

I got mine done over 10 years ago and I don't remember thinking it hurt but I have a pretty high pain tolerance. I got it done with a friend and she thought it hurt so bad she could only get it outlined....I got mine filled in.

I have none, but have thinking about getting one for a year or two. I am very conflicted about it, because a lot of my friends regret getting theirs, and when I see them on people, I usually don't like them! So if I got one and hated it, I would be sooooo disappointed in myself for even doing it.

So I think I'll skip it:)

I have a red sea turtle on the top of my foot. I want the words "enjoy the little things" on my rib cage and a whimsical style maple tree with bare branches on my shoulder blade, it will have bark detail with mine and FIs initials hidden in the woodwork and it will be all black except for a little bird for each of my kids, each a different color (with their initials and/or bday scrolled on the branch next to them).

The one thing I guess you could consider regret is the red color, I love it but it turns out I'm allergic to the red ink, so it is constantly itchy and just recently stopped being bumpy and irritated looking (I've had it for 2 years)... I should have thought about that because I've had reactions to red dyes before (in condoms, bracelets and temp tats). Yes tons more! If I could afford it, my body would be covered!

All of mine are going to me in those top pain places but I was told the top of my foot would hurt the worst so I did that one first, and OMG it hurt like a b*tch but I didn't cry or pass out... just swore... a lot lol

ETA: This is a pic of mine a day or two after having it done. It was inspired by a trip FI and I took to cocoa beach, florida. We did the red so it would be a bit different (I love sea turtles and we saw some on our trip) and the purple in the water and the stars are because we used to take walks and just sit on the beach talking for hours at night. BTW my artist free handed the entire thing, he is absolutely amazing!

agreed! Plus the endorphin high you get after is absolutely amazing! That in my opinion is what makes them addicting, I stopped half way through (mine took 3ish hours) to go outside and my foot was throbbing but after standing there for a minute I was dying to get more of it done! Then 20 minutes after mine was finished... I wanted to go back and get another! If I had the money, I would already have several...

If you have them, do you regret any of them? I do sort-of regret it, because I was 18 and just picked one off the wall because I thought I was cool. I don't necessarily mind the star part of it, because I've always been a fan of stargazing, but I just wish I would have gotten something a little different. I also went with my ex-MIL to get one.... she got one as well. She was just my boyfriend's Mom at the time though. Mid-life crisis perhaps??
