Intro
Hi!
Just popping over from GP on TN. H and I have been TTC since Dec 2009 with no success. We've decided to stop TTC and start saving for adoption. We are hoping to begin the official process in a year or two.
Is it okay that I hang out on this board? I really look forward to getting to know you ladies and cheering for you in your journeys!

Jillian, I was really excited when I saw you post here. How is the process going? I remember you were going through to adopt a little boy that is HIV+. Is that still where you are at? Do you have a blog for it?
Right now we are thinking about domestic adoption - either public adoption (through children's aid) or private adoption. We're planning to save money for a year and decide then. I want a little nest egg in case the expenses are more than we planned.

Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here?
After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program.
Homestudy complete July 19
USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13!

Yep we are still pursuing the same little guy! Going to meet him a week from Tuesday! Ah! :-D
That sounds like a good plan to me. I have a friend in Ontario who is adopting from the foster care system. It is such a great decision! Either way- domestic or through foster care- I look forward to following your journey!
