One job is all he had

DH is really good with LO. Really. They play well, he bathes him and helps all the time.  Tonight  all he had to do was put him to bed. I made dinner and gave him a bath. All I wanted was a hot meal and a glass of wine. Well, LO wanted to play w dada because that's what they do. 45 min later LO was still awake and I still had no dinner. It literally took me 2 min to put LO to sleep. Just needed to vent.

    Yeah, I hear you.  Sometimes I give DH a job to do with DD - change her diaper/ put her jammies on/ rock her to nap/ etc. - and it doesn't get done.  It's frustrating b/c sometimes I just need a break!!!  But I'm glad you were able to get LO down in just 2 minutes, hopefully you could still have a semi-warm dinner :)

    Hopefully you still had your glass of wine!!!!! 

    I'm convinced that this is why God made red wine served right out of the bottle without any chill or reheat prep work needed.  Quick and easily available via game-time decision after a hard night's worth of trying to get LO to bed.
