May contain spoilers - beware!!
So...who has seen the new Batman movie yet? The Dark Knight Rises!
Me me me me me! I did! And it was osssssiiiiimmmmmm!!
Seriously though it was good, I didn't even notice it was 2+ hours long. There were some twists I didn't forsee (I also have avoided any media stories about it) and some special appearances! Scarecrow makes an appearance as does Ra's al Guhl!!! I feel so stupid for not realizing who Marion Cotillard's character was! Doh! And I cried! And I loved, loved the ending! I really enjoyed Avengers and the newest Spiderman but Batman took the cake. Bane was fantastic! I was worried his voice would be too weird but it worked. Perfectly.
I haven't been this excited to be a person from the movies since I watched the latest Star Trek!!
Go see it! You won't be sorry!!

IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!! We loved it too! They left it open for possibilities, but from what I've heard, the director says he's done with the series. Boooooo! We'll see! I thought Bane's voice was great although a little tough to understand at times. I thought all actors did an amazing job! It was so sad when Heath Ledger died but he did an incredible Joker. As I was watching though, I thought that Joseph Gordon Levitt (Blake) could've easily done a Joker part. Other than hair color he looks ver similar to Heath IMO. Anyway, he's a great actor and his part was wonderful...especially the END!
I couldn't help but to think of the vicims in Colorado though as I sat through the movie. So sad and senseless. My thoughts and prayers are with them and their families.

You would miss out on so much! The presence of the movie itself, not to mention the great sound effects! It hurt me to hear Batman getting beat up! But if you're not a big comic book fan, then I understand. Plus it's pricey nowadays!!
Soapbox.
That was a horrible, senseless act of violence but it has nothing to do at all with the movie. That would be like avoiding places where people were murdered or boycotting The Watch (ben stiller movie). Christopher Nolan (director) released a heartfelt statement urging the community to come together. By avoiding movies, going out in public, etc.... we let these psycho's win. It is pathetic and sad that he felt the need to make a spectacle by taking innocent lives.
End soapbox rant.

Ahhhh I read that too about it being the last one! I hate it! You are right about Joseph Gordon Levitt - he was fantastic too! Imaging how great it would be to do another with all the bad guys - Ledger as Joker, Schwartznegger as Mr. Freeze, DeVito as Penguin, Murphy as Scarecrow, Nicholson could be Joker Sr, Carrey as Riddler!! Bring on Robin/Nightwing!!!!

Oh you will love it!!

It's not that I never want to see the movie. It's just that right now, at this time, I would not be able to enjoy myself. After recent events have left my daily conciousness, then I would be able to enjoy it more. We have a cheap theatre that plays movies after they are "out of theatres". Perhaps then.

That would be nice to have a theater like that around here! I can't believe how expensive it is for dinner and a movie! I sound like my mom! But seriously it was $15 for the two of us at a matinee!! And we only went to Quiznos before!!

Amazing film!!! I actually cannot describe in words how amazing this movie was. My DH and I can't wait to go see it again. I totally cried too. I have never watched an entire movie with my mouth open and my hand in front of my mouth in astonishment, it was that great!
I am also deeply saddened by the recent events. Those that survived, and the families and loved ones of the victims are in my thoughts.
