Anyone else have a difficult fetus?!

HAHA I know it sounds odd, but today my TaterTot put me in the emergenct ob clinic on an ultrasound moniter for about 50 mins this morning. Apparently baby decided that its most comfortable to lay face right next to my cervix and was pushing down and wiggling that little hand and punching it! Causing mommy to call and ask doc about the odd pressure in her belly that turned out to be minor contractions because tater was being a jerk!!!!!

We still don't know what tater is because yet again foot i nthe way leg up the whole time!!!! we should hopefully find out at our a/s wednesday afternoon and I am so excited we are hoping for a boy since we have munchkin our daughter and i lost my son 6 years ago when he was born at 24 weeks. The being a pain in the butt seems to indicate boy to all those around us lol....tater has sent me to the er 4 times this whole 19 weeks pregnancy!

Anyone else have a bun cookin that likes to stir up some trouble!?

  • I've been to the ER. I had horrible cramps at 17w5d. Some felt like menstrual cramps, some started in my back and wrapped around to my front, etc. I didn't know what to make of them. Apparently, it wasn't baby's fault . . . I have a low lying placenta and weak vaginal muscles. It's a shame, since I work out so much and all my other muscles are so strong. My doctor did say this should fix itself eventually.

I have a painful fibroid that my baby boy likes to kick, punch and on the occasion cuddle with. Like a strange pillow pet...anyway, every time he touches it, wow is it painful!

I've already "grounded" him and a few other vague threats that keep my husband looking at me like I've lost my mind. But it makes us both laugh with distracts me from the pain :-)

  • Hehe. My parents have hoped that I'd have a little one just like me... Nice and difficult. My BF is referring to it as the mother's curse. :) So far other than not cooperating for my NT scan, s/he's been okay though.

Hope that you're feeling better and that your a/s scan goes well.

  • My little guys take turns punching and kicking my cervix. Feels great (as you know)! We also watched the whole last u/s as baby B kicked baby A in the head the whole time!

I hope you have an uneventful remainder of your pregnancy and no more ER trips until the big day!

LOL TiaS that made me laugh I'm sorry that can't be fun but atleast you know hes a mover and shaker in there and hes alright!!!!

Thanks SingleMom!!!! I hope Tater is cooperative for my a/s so we will havea name for it i can use to lecture it when irritating me haha! =) hope your doing well hun!

And LLK hehe I'm glad your babies interact but hopefully not with a foot to head connection anymore! And I cannot imagine having 2 in there kicking at things, one is enough for me and clearly trouble so far and its only 19 weeks! Congrats on the double miracle though =) its so exciting!

And id like to say as a behavior therapist! Keep those babies in check now its never too early to start with teaching them whats right and wonrg LOL grounding them inutero or not its bound to do something!

  • She hasn't been that bad for me, but she drove the U/S tech bananas this past week. She's a very active little one, and she kept flipping around and hiding her face while the tech was trying to get all those measurements. The tech was none to pleased with my little girl's acrobatics. ;-)

  • Mine scared the nurse and me the last time I was at the dr office. She was searching and searching for the heartbeat but couldn't find it (so of course, I'm freaking out!)...after about 10 mins she finally the little wiggle worm..in the very very tippy top of my uterus in the far right corner...higher than the nurse had thought to look...i mean, that baby must have been crammed right up there...and then when she found it, it moved and she had to chase it with the doppler to get an accurate HR count...i'm fully expecting more of the same at the A/S next week..I've already told our families not to count on finding out the sex...but apparently I did the same to my mom, as they didn't know what I was until about a week before I was born...

Those little balls are not a joke. They make and sell them and they can really help. Alot of people do not do kegals properly. They are called Ben-Wa balls. I wouldn't dismiss them. Every woman I know that has used them never has a snissing problem.
