We currently have the snugabunny swing for DS and although he was not a huge fan of it when he was really little, he takes naps in it now and likes it. However, it has been making a rather loud clicking noise for awhile, and it progressively gets louder...it also lifts up off th ground more and more as he has gotten bigger, and I'm not very comfortable with that. I called today and from what I described they said it wasn't normal so they are going to issue a refund after I send back some parts.
My question is if you were me, would you get another swing? And if so, which swing would you get? I am glad he likes it now, but I'm afraid as he crawls around more and becomes more mobile he won't want to go in there very much. Right now he just takes naps in it, but it's been working well for naps, so I'm a little nervous to not have one! I know that most swings are up to 25 pounds, though, and he's only just under 15 pounds now. If I do get another one I would get a smaller one, and I would like one that can sit up or recline...do any of you have one like that?
If you were me, would you get another swing, and if so, which one?
Thanks for your help!!
Re: Swing Question
I'd go to a consignment store and test some. See which ones fit him and which swing him pretty good.
I wouldn't buy brand new sounds like a waste.
Ben is just about done with his swing. He lasts for about 2-3 minutes in there and then forget it. He wants out. He'd rather just be on the floor. He won't nap in it anymore either. He liked his swing up until about 3 weeks ago. I think it is about to get put away (or sold or whatever we are going to do with it).
So, long answer to a short question: I would check out a thrift store like PP said. I don't think it is worth the full price investment at this point.

I had the same swing and it made the same sound, if you shift one leg forward or to the side (depending on which way your swing sways) it stops. I stopped using it because DS was getting too uncomfortable in it, he would flip to his side in it and I wasnt feeling safe with him in it. We found a different swing on clearance at target, it's a Graco and it's smaller and folds up. It's also a little longer for Reece.
Hope this helps!
