Vent!

This sucks! Im job hunting and will have to pull the kids from our awesome company daycare.
The daycare centers I am looking at all start at 6:30 am and that is when my husband starts work!
He is 98% sure he can't change his start time. This is a problem for when I travel once a month or when I travel period.
It sucks that my job options are limited by my husbands inflexible job that makes almost half of what I make and he has no potential to increase his salary or move up! This is so wrong!
I am now restricted to jobs at my current company where daycare starts at 6 am.
He is against having a nanny and we can't find an in home daycare that we are both happy with!

Sorry, I don't know how to control the font size and I'm on my itouch so it looks normal to me...lol

     But I am pretty pissed!!

I think my only option is to find an awesome nanny to make it work.

Which sites are reputable for nannies?

I can certainly drop them off 3 weeks of every month, it's the last month where we get into trouble. I am suppose to travel once a month for a few days. Some months I may not travel, but others might be back to back ie evey month one a week.

I didn't think about the dropping kids off by someone else part... How do I find someone who will do that?

  • I wouldn't necessarily rule anything out.  Some daycares have set hours but will allow you to drop off early or pick up late for an additional fee.  Also, you may find teachers or a sitter who could do drop off on that days that you travel.  People make all kinds of arrangements work.  Good luck!

Thanks ladies! I was so annoyed this morning, but have since talked about it more with my husband and we're going to see if we can find a nanny. I'm keeping my options open and looking at other positions at my company...
  • I've had good luck with care.com and sittercity.com.
