A friend of mine shared Emmett's Story on facebook this morning. It's the story of a little boy who swallowed a button battery. His life threatening injuries are overwhelming and he's been through more in his short life than I have in my 27 years.
I don't want to type the whole thing over again, but I included the video and several links on my blog (which can be found in my siggy!) if you'd like more information.
Please friends, read and educate yourself on the harm that these little batteries can cause. They're found in the smallest and most innocent of objects.
Just thought I'd share. ![]()

I'm so happy that you all found this informative. I was shocked to find out just how many everyday items can have these little batteries - bathroom scales, watches, car remotes, CHILDREN'S TOYS, singing greeting cards, and so much more.
Thanks for helping to spread the word as well. Like I said in my blog, I don't personally know this family, but they go to my friend's church. I think spreading the word and helping others (especially parents!) to become educated is so important. If you have a blog, I'd highly recommend sharing it with your readers!
