Has anyone tried this yet? With it being so hot, we don't get out much these days. I think it would be an absolute riot to break out some paint and have DD go to town. She is still in the "put everything in my mouth" stage and I wasn't sure if there were paints that were safe if she happened to slip her fingers in and I wasn't quick enough?
Re: Fingerpainting with your LO
I would love to try it but I'm probably going to wait. His fingers would never even make the paper and he would be covered!
I am pretty sure there are paints that are safe if they do go in their mouth, I think you can make your own? Not sure though!
chocolate pudding works just as good and its ok if they eat it.

DD makes finger paintings at daycare all the time. I think they just use Crayola nontoxic finger paint. I think most paints labeled as finger paint are nontoxic because it is usually younger kids using them, who will put their fingers in their mouths.
Like PP said pudding is basically the same thing and totally edible, or I've even heard of people using purees and just letting LO smear them everywhere.

You can make your own fingerpaint by using cornflour and cold water then add food coloring, as well.
