Post your fave baby gates!

So now that LO is currently trying to give mommy a heart attack by going close to the stairs, it's time to install baby gates! We are going to have to have three baby gates that are stairs/friendly (two of which are top of stairs). We definitely aren't looking to spend a fortune, but at the same time I do believe that you get what you pay for, and want something that is easy for us to unlatch on the stairs but something LO won't be able to open. TIA!

We have the Summer infant "stylish and secure gate" from

BRU. We are renting a house this year so we couldn't put holes in the wall. Once we move in our own house this fall we will anchor it to the wall, but just with the tension mounts it is super sturdy. Our dogs have put their weight on it and it doesn't budge. It also looks nice, too.

I just wanted a heavy, sturdy gate with a door. We've had it over a year now and it has been great. Also, it is the only barrier DD1 hasn't figured out yet.

This is a good question. We had a gate anchored into the wall at the top of our stairs which is more practical because we come and go through there all the time. A tension gate would be a PITA. But, we mounted it slightly high so that the cats could get under and eventually DS figured out how to get under as well. And he would hang on it all the time and managed to rip it out of the wall. We might just do a tension gate this time.

We bought that one and i really liked it but it broke six months after we bought it. We couldnt fix it so it ended up being a huge waste of money.
