LO is in daycare from 7:30am to 5:15pm. We send 4 bottles of BM along with oatmeal and fruit. This morning the teacher asked if we had thought about sending along a lunch as well. She said that he seems to have a good appetite and she'd like to combine the cereal with the fruit in the morning. I don't have a problem with this, but my question is, what the heck shoud I send in? He's just now starting on soft table foods (including meat and cheese).

Re: Food at Daycare
I guess I could to that and then just stick with the finger/table foods at dinner. But if I send the finger foods at daycare then they can clean up the mess
thanks for the link. I'm going to try some of these recipes this weekend.
-chicken strips and steamed veggies
-rice and beans
-pasta with sauce
You can find tons of ideas here:

If your daycare will cut fruit/veggies, you could send something like a whole avocado
Pita bread and hummus is another idea

They don't start providing food until he moves to the next class (14 months). Thanks for the website rec, I will check it out.
Just wanted to post another recipe site for food to prepare for LO. I'm always on the look out for new recipes for us, and some travel-friendly foods. Enjoy!
