Costco Diapers

Anybody use them?  What do you think?

We are thinking of switching to them from Pampers.  DD had sensitive skin, so we couldn't vary much in what we used, but DS has no such trouble.

Re: Costco Diapers

  • We use them occasionally and have never had any problems with them

How much are they per diaper lemonJAM? We also use pampers, but recently got a CostCo membership to save on formula. I am scared to switch diapers, especially because you buy such a huge box. I wish they had sample packs!

I'm not sure how much per diaper...I should probably figure that out!  I'm pretty sure they're cheaper though.  I wish they had sample packs too, the big box is what's holding me back from giving them a try!

  • I've used them vs. our regular Huggies brand. Our Costco doesn't sell Pampers. In my area at least, there really wasn't much savings in using the Costco brand. The savings was $2.00. But they worked just like our Huggies, FWIW.

If you don't like them you can return the box even if open. I bought buggies there once and hated them. Had used about 7-8 diapers. They took them back no questions asked

    Oops Huggies damn autocorrect

  • I have tried other brands.... but they all feel so much like cardboard/starch...as for Costco I can't really give any advice because I have never used them. We have a Sams Club Membership

The only thing I can say is that if you are buying the Costco brand formula, it is the one brand my doc knew of that isn't packaged at the same plant as the name brand (eg- Target brand similac is virtually the same as actualy similac, but less than half the price when you buy the big container). Not that it matters if you find that it works for your LO, just an interesting fact

That is an interesting fact. I have to say that when we used their formula with my DD, we had only one issue. One can of formula smelled strange (I think it was sour), I called the 1-800 number on the can and they told me to exchange it at the store. They asked questions when I returned it, just for safety issues. All in all, we had a good experience with the formula as well as the diapers.

  • We have a BJ's Wholesale membership, and recently switched from Pampers to their diapers because they are almost half the price, and they are fine. I did check with the store before I bought them though, to make sure I could return them if I was unsatisfied. I think they all have similar policies on that, so I would just double check before you buy them and give them a try. If they will take them back if you don't like them, what have you got to lose?

  • We've used the Costco diapers since he was born, and we love them. I bought a box of huggies last month because there was a coupon at Costco and I hated them. LO is in size 3 in the Costco (Kirkland) Brand and we only buy them with the $5 off coupon, which equates to around $0.18 per diaper.

We also buy the wipes. They are great and so much cheaper than at Target, etc.

Good point on returning them.  I didn't think about that!

Thanks for the info!  We use their wipes, too.  They are so awesome.  I like them better than any other I've tried (including Pampers, Huggies and Up & Up) and they are cheaper too.

That is really interesting about the formula.  We use Similac and I don't think we'll switch from that.  That's good to know though.

  • We use Costco diapers unless we are too lazy to go to Costco or have a good coupon for Huggies and I really like them. They fit DD really good but she is on the small side I have heard from people with larger babies that they don't fit well. Really the only thing I don't like about them is having to find somewhere to put the giant box but that is because we have a small space.

Yeah I thought it was pretty cool... helped me not to guilt trip myself for not buying the name brand. It's ridiculous though! One target big container has more formula than two of the Similac containers. One target brand big container is $21. One thing of similac is $24 (we got similac sensitive). We have saved a bunch of money
