Water?

Ok so I know this is probably a weird question.. I was just wondering how much everyone else is drinking, I drink probably 4 bottles of water a day plus other fluids. Sometimes I feel like Im not drinking enough. Just wondering how much you ladies drink in a day..

Re: Water?

  • Over 100 ounces. I hate it, but I feel like crap if I don't.

I carry around my 1L bottle and usually fill it three times during the day but don't ever make it through the 3rd one completely. I also usually have a cup of tea and glass of milk at some point in the day. And don't forget fruits and veggies count toward water intake too!

  • I drink about 100 ounces per day spread throughout the day of course.  I always have water right by me.

The general rule is 1/2 ounce of water per pound of body weight.  I think it's actually more than that if you're athletic, but definitely at least 1/2 ounce per pound.  Minimum for health is 8-10 8oz glasses per day though.

  • I re-fill bottles here at work so I can keep track a little better. I feel the best when I average 8 bottles (17 oz each or about 130ish oz per day) per day plus my glass of milk with breakfast and dinner and water throughout the night. You would think I would float away but otherwise the headaches are terrible and I just feel blah!

I drink water whenever I'm thirsty- which is all the time. I haven't been keeping track of how much it is.

I try to get around 64oz of liquid (more or less depending on the color of my urine), but it's tough. Liquids still make me nauseous.

Not enough, but I try. 3-4 bottles a day normally. I can tell that it isn't enough. at night I'm feeling so dehydrated and I chug a bottle of water right before bed.

  • How in the world are people drinking 100+ oz of water a day???  Are you doing nothing but drinking all day long?  I don't think there's enough time in the day for me to drink 100+oz and I would get so tired of being in the bathroom constantly.

I do pee a lot Embarrassed

I just always have water with me and I hardly drink anything but water.  I occasionally have something else, but it's more of a special thing if I'm out to dinner or something.

I usually fill up my cup at breakfast and drink 25oz between breakfast and lunch.  Fill up again at lunch and drink 25oz by late afternoon.  Fill up again and drink 25oz and fill up again after dinner and drink another 25oz between dinner and bedtime.  Of course some days I drink a little less and some days I drink more, but at least 100oz is my daily goal.  Need to flush out the system!  :)

  • Wow, I'm not drinking nearly as much as some of you. I'm maybe having 50-60 oz including tea. I've been feeling like absolute crap lately so maybe I should increase that a bit!

    *off to chug some water*

  • about 2 liters of water. I also try to drink two glasses of milk a day. Maybe I have a soft drink once a week.

  • This makes me feel like I'm failing already! I'm lucky if I get in 2 20oz bottles during the workday. In the evenings, I'll drink a couple glasses...but yikes!! I just must not get that thirsty or don't think about it. It's not like I'm drinking other beverages really...

  • I must admit I have a problem with drinking to much caffeine.. So Im trying to increase my water intake.. Today Im at about 70 oz, thats extremely good for me..

  • I haven't really kept track, but I typically drink one glass of water with breakfast, and about two glasses each at lunch and dinner. Between meals, it just depends on what I'm doing. When I'm outside in the heat, at the pool, or whatever, I drink a lot of water, but if I'm home in the a/c, not so much. I have to pee all the time as it is, so there's no way I could drink 100 oz per day or I would just have to stay in the bathroom 24/7!

  • I'm having a hard time drinking water during the day, seems like the only time I'm actually thirsty is at night..and then I'm up all night peeing....super lame...I try to force myself during the day but sometimes makes my stomach upset...there is just no winning! Doc told me to drink gatorade too and that's helping keep my liquids up at least...my pee is clear most times though so I think I'm doing okay....!!

  • I've been using one of those Camelbak bottles since before I found out I was pregnant - it's really so easy to drink my 64+ oz. that way.  Mine's about a 16oz. bottle, so I always try to do at least 4 and you'd be surprised how easy it is to get it in if you're always sipping a little here and there without having to fiddle with a lid or worry about it spilling, etc.  They're pricy for water bottles, but for someone like me, totally worth it.

  • On average about or over 100oz and I don't even use the bathroom all that much. I have a bottle glued to my side all day long and keep one on my night table. It helps keep my nausea under control and I have always gotten easily dehydrated, even before becoming pregnant

I should also not I still nurse morning and night, if I don't drink that much water my supply can tank for the day and my little man gets very, very, frustrated

  • I drink a ton of plain water otherwise I get migraines. I'm in the mindset that if it's not just plain water (or water with lime/lemon/orange wedges) it doesn't count. Juice has sugar, diet soda has chemicals so I wouldn't count "other fluids" towards your water intake.
  • 100 oz + a day.

It isn't all that difficult.  Like others, I either have a Camelbak or a Nalgene by my side at all times.

Before being pregnant, I drank around 70 oz a day, so upping my water intake kind of came naturally.  I have always peed a lot, so it really isn't much different, although, we did have to pull off to the side of the road the other day and find a treeEmbarrassed
