One of our dogs is obsessed with DD's stuffed animals. I feel bad hiding them all the time becasue she loves to play with them, but I don't want him destroying them either. So, anyone know of anything, besides keeping the toys high/hiding, to keep them out of the dogs mouth?

Re: dogs and baby toys
No clue! Our dog grabs any of DD's toys whenever someone comes to the house. I have to run frantically after him trying to get them out of his gullet.
Ok, actually I did see this episode of "It's me or the dog", and they were trying to teach these two little dogs not to touch something. So, they used the command 'leave it'. And gave them a treat immediately, then kept spacing out the time to give a treat after the command was given. Also, they would shove the whatever-it-was in the dogs face and every time it turned away, they gave the dog a treat reinforcing that it was good behavior to not pay attention to the item.
That's all I got! Good luck! At least it's just one toy at your house...it's all of DD's at our house. Oi!
DS shares his toys with the dog. He'll bring toys to Wallace, and laugh hysterically when he chews on them. He has a baseball bat that he gives one end to the dog, and he chews on the other. It's ridiculous.
haha that's so cute!

Thanks!! I've gotta take a picture of them in action.
You can try redirection. When your dog has one of LO's toys say "no" and give him one of his own toys.
My dogs seemed to know what toys were their's and which were DD's. The only time they got confused is when someone bought DD1 squeeky blocks. My male Boston wanted those so bad.
