What? The board is slow and you want to see my lake baby from last week's vacation? Well, if everyone insists... Here's my Internet version of the vacation slideshow:
So cute! Looks like your LO didn't mind the lifejacket...hope I am as lucky next weekend.
Thanks He would whine as I was putting it one, but I think he got used to it! He had no problems once I got it on. Now sunscreen... that was NOT his favorite part.

OMG. How cute! I love the second one especially. The look on his face is so "Carter" lol. That's awesome you took him tubing. I like your style mom!
Haha, thanks!! Notice he fell asleep midway through his tube ride, lol! Guess it's just not enough excitement for him. Next year I guess we'll have to put him on skis .
So cute! I love the baby life jacket! Those of us in Texas have to find ways to beat the heat somehow . We are taking our little guy to Port Aransas in a few weeks and I can't wait! I am impressed you can get him to keep a hat on! What is your trick? We are lucky if a hat lasts for 2 seconds on Jamey's head.
Big brother James 6-19-11 **** Little sister Lillianna 6-26-13
Aww, those are cute! Looks like you guys had a great trip. I love the second one where it looks like he's waving to someone off in the distance. So cute.

Neck strap The fisherman style hat he would tug and tug on at first, then I think he realized that it wasn't coming off. It also helped when I dunked it in the water first. By the end of the week, we could use the ball cap, too. I guess he just realized water=hat. And he LOVES the water.
Looks like fun! You are lucky to have so many other playmates for LO. Our DD is the only one (but not for long- see ticker below. Ha). No cousins though... No one else is even dating anyone seriously.... Sigh...
When can girls go in the lake water? I know all babies are supposed to be 6 months before heading into lake water, but are girls even longer? Bacterial infection risks, etc? DD has a sensitive bottom so we haven't taken her yet. Also, she just got over a bad kidney infection/UTI so I don't think we will this summer at all.
We're actually headed up to my ILs tomorrow to spend the weekend on the lake. They have a pontoon boat too. Pretty excited for DS's first boat ride. Only thing I'm worried about is his naps. Any suggestions?

So cute!!! How did he like the intertube ride? I want to get DD in the lake, but I'm nervous. She loves the beach and pool so I guess lake it next
He loved it Bounced and laughed... but then he fell asleep, haha! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be keeping tabs on him in the lake and on the boat. I say go for it.

We are VERY lucky. My side is done with the babies, but DH's family is still going so he'll hopefully have a few more cousins in the years to come. On girls... my 10 month old niece was at the lake with us. No issues at all! But she hasn't had any infections, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

We tried to get in at least 1 short morning nap in his PnP before we left every day, and on the boat, he would nap on me. His best naps were when the boat was moving. Out like a light!
