I finally started AF!! This is my first CD1 after my m/c and I thought that I would feel really sad, but I'm PUMPED! I feel like it's a new beginning, like we get a fresh start.

You girls have been so supportive! Thanks for letting me "SQUEEEE!!" a little bit!

Is it pretty typical to feel so elated on your first CD1? Or am I a complete freak show?

yaya for AF. I think when AF finally shows up I will be excited to start new and fresh. It seems a bit odd that for a year I was hoping for it to stay away and now all I want is it to show up.

You are not a freak show by any means! I recently had my first CD1 post m/c and was really happy too. I kept thinking of it like when you have to reboot your computer ... Okay all systems go

. It gives you a tiny sense of stability that everything's getting back to "normal" - at least physically. Which helped me greatly mentally

I was a little excited that my body was moving forward, a little sad to have the reminder. What you're feeling is normal. yay AF!

I felt the same way! It was almost a feeling of, my body is getting back to "normal" or a new normal. I started AF July 9th. We were on our way down to the beach for a week, but I didn't even care I was so elated! I hope if you start TTC right away as I am, that you have a BFP soon

Yep! This for me too. Glad you are excited to see AF though! I can totally understand the excitement of feeling like you are starting fresh and your body is cooperating. Yay for that.

I was soooo excited to see AF for the 1st time...DH and I actually did a little dance! We felt like it meant things were working the way they should and our Dr had given us the go ahead after my AF returned so we were excited to start TTC again. My AF is expected next week and if she shows up then, I won't be very happy to see her this time around!

I think if you look back at my CD1 after my MC, I was on cloud 9.

It's weird to think about being happy about it, but don't think about that, Celebrate!!!

I totally get what you mean. I never thought I'd say this, but I am looking forward to getting AF! Since I am just a few days post-D&C, I've got a few weeks before that happens. Of course, there is a certain sadness that comes along with it, but I am looking forward to starting fresh as well.

I don't think you're a freak show at all!! I can't wait until AF shows up for the first time for me!! Like you said - it's a fresh start and a new beginning! Here's hoping this is the last AF for you for the next 9+ months Smile

Wooooohooo! You are not a freak. I made a post very similar to this when AF returned for me. Now I'm just the opposite and I hope she stays away for a long time!!
