I have discovered quite a few new songs on this journey that I felt were speaking directly to me. Anybody care to post links to songs that have helped you as you deal with your losses and TTCing again?
I heard this on the radio for the first time today and wept.
Ingrid Michaelson - GhostYour turn!
Re: Cathartic songs
Shake It Out by Florence & The Machine
Fix You by Coldplay
Nora Grace Due 12/26/2016
Two Angel Babies

"If you're still my small babe
or you're all the way grown,
my promise to you
is you're never alone.
You are my angel, my darling,
my star...and my love will find you,
wherever you are."
I have a mix I play on my iphone almost everyday on my way to work and it includes both 'Fix You', 'Shake it Out', plus:
Simple Song by The Shins
A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
Every Teardrop is a Waterfall by Coldplay
I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz
Stronger by Kelly Clarkson
I like a good mix of mellow and upbeat songs

My Saving Grace by Mariah Carey (it has religious themes)
Don't Stop Believing by Journey (I actually listened to this song a lot when I was pregnant with Ethan so it brings some great memories and plus, it's really uplifting).

"Heal Over" by KT Tunstall, and I agree with Shake it Out by Flo & the Machine!
Cycle 9: BFP 5-3-12:EDD 1-24-13 It's a girl! Born 12-27-12
Definitely those two. Also "Whisper a Prayer to the Moon" by Eleanor McEvoy. And "Be OK" by Ingrid Michaelson.
I love "A Thousand Years". I gave it to a PGAL friend, and I know it helped her as well. It's great for anything you are struggling with/waiting for. I am also a big fan of You Raise Me Up (Josh Groban and lots of others have beautiful versions). For an ugly cry, I listen to Kellie Coffey's "I Would Die for That," which someone posted to the board once. I think her SN was "Hopeful17"? Hopeful something... she has since disappeared, which is a shame. Just a disclaimer, "I Would Die for That" is about IF and loss and has babies and toddlers in the video. If you do not want to sob, don't watch it.
Well, I totally read this as "charting songs" at first glance, and I was like- wow, somone wrote a song all about charting? LOL
Pretty much anything by Florence + the Machine is just haunting and uplifting enough that makes me think of my baby and (hopefully) future babies. I also love "Let the Rain" by Sara Barelles (spelling? sorry!)
It's country, but "God gave me you" Blake Shelton. I am not religious at all, but I love the words and I relate it to my DH. I am so lucky to have him during these tough times and all the time.
"god gave me you for the ups and downs. God gave me you for the days of doubt. And when I think I've lost my way, there are no words here left to say, it's true, god gave me you." He wrote it for his wife, Miranda Lambert.
Over You- Miranda Lambert
God Gave Me You- Blake Shelton
