I am high risk so I am not allowed to travel after Oct (I'm due in Dec) So I am having 2 out of town showers both of which will have to be in Sept since I can't travel. I've been told that that will be too early and I won't be big yet, but I don't really have any other options, this is my first baby after 2 miscarriages, so I'm not going to risk anything. Does this sound crazy? To have a shower in Sept if not due til Dec? Will people think it's too early and not come?
Re: Too early?
Do you know how much easier and more fun it will be before you get 'big'? I had a shower at 36 weeks and I was exhausted half way through, plus I still had to pack up my gifts and drive 2 hrs home.
Have it when ever you want, it's your shower.
You're high risk and has 2 miscarriages and someone is more concerned that you won't be big yet???? Are you kidding me?
Of course your and the babies health is what matters. Not how big you are. People will come and will be thrilled to see you in September.

This. I think any "rules" concerning timing go out the window if you're high risk!!
