I've read that RRLT and EPO will naturally help ready your body for labor. When did you ladies start using them? And how much of each were you taking?
I'm only 31 weeks, but I've seen some people start taking a very low dosage early and up the dosage as they get closer to their due date. I was induced with my son and would really really like to go into labor naturally with this baby since she's most likely my last baby!
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!
Re: Another RRLT + EPO
My MW had me start RRL at 13 weeks with this pregnancy (I started at 26 with my last). I take the capsules, not the tea, but I know that a lot of people drink the tea all throughout their pregnancies. I think the only recommendation is to wait until you're out of the first tri.
I did EPO starting at 38 weeks with my last, but my MW recommended I start at 36 weeks this time. I'll take it orally from 36-38 weeks, and then orally and vaginally from 38-birth.
Good luck!
RRLT is fine to start drinking during your third tri (I've even heard earlier). I drank three cups a day.
Generally they say to start EPO at 37w, I started at 36w though. I can't remember the dosage, but I know I was taking 4 pills a day.
Thank you this helps a lot!
For those of you who are taking EVO do you take it orally or vaginally? What dosage? I won't start taking this till later but I want to be prepared!
I don't remember the dosage. But you can take it either way. My CNMs recommended vaginally. They said that while the research is not definitive it just makes sense in their minds that putting it up against the cervix would be more effective. It's best to put it in when you lay down to go to sleep, so it doesn't leak out. I tried it once, but it made me feel itchy down there, so I just stuck to orally after that. I'm the only person I know of that had that experience, so it may have just been unique to me...and my vagina
Thanks everyone! All your responses helped a lot! Like I said I would like a diffrent experience with this one since it's most likely my last child, so here's to hoping!
