Talks about cycling again have resurfaced recently.  We aren't sure of where we want to go, so I started making appointments this week.  First call was to our first clinic but with a different Dr at the practice.  I know that he is impossible to get in with so I wanted to call asap since I knew we would be waiting awhile.  Receptionist proceeds to tell me that I have impeccable timing - he just had a cancellation and has an opening for Thursday (today).  I jumped on it!

We were there for three hours.  Best consult we've had.  Dr was awesome.  We went in to talk about what a gameplan could be and left with scripts in hand to start meds tomorrow.

Long story short, after 11 vials of blood between the two of us, and an ultrasound and cultures test for me, they tested DH's sample while we were there.  His numbers are still low, but there is an improvement.  He wants DH on Clomid right away and I start Letrozole tomorrow (pending bloods from today).  We'll be doing an iui later this month if all goes well.  An iui!  Insanity.  If this works I will be completely dumbfounded.

If it doesn't work.  We let the Clomid do its thing for a few months and then restest.  Those results will determine iui or ivf #2.  He's got a plan for ivf #2 if we need to head there and is wiling to help us with the oop costs.

I haven't felt this excited about our journey in a long long time.  It's been a complete whirlwind of a day since I did not think we would be making any decisions so soon, but everything just felt right so we went with it.  I can't believe I'm back on this roller coaster!

    Wow!  What a day for you!

    It sounds like you have 2 great plans ahead of you.  I do hope this next IUI works for you, fingers crossed!!!!

    IVF #1 September 2011 - ER 9/8/2011- 8R, 5M - icsi - 1 made it to transfer - BFFN :-(
    IVF #2 Lucky November 2011 - ER 11/25/2011 - 15 eggs!, 13 mature, 10 fertilized with isci - 7 made it to transfer! Transferred 1 - 8 cell and 2 - 7 cell. BFP!!!!
    1st U/S - Twins! 2nd U/S - 3 heartbeats!!! - HOLY COW!!!

    2 babies born on 3/27/12 and lost. Last baby born on 3/29/12 and lost at 20 weeks.

    Wouldnt that be something if the IUI worked?!  Wishing you all the luck!!
    I am AMA and all tests on H came back normal
    3 failed IVF with OE and 2 failed frozen DE cycles
    Last fresh hail mary DE cycle starting Feb 2013

    Sounds like everything is falling into place ~ best wishes!!
    TTC since 2006 3 Fertility Clinics Test, Pills & Injectables....oh my. Numerous failed IUI's 7 or 8 or more? IVF #1 June 2012 ~ praying this is the only one ER 6/13/12 - 13 ret, 7 fertilized, 7 progressing, ET 6/15/12, BFN & No freeze babies. Onto IVF #2 in October 2012. No, wait, body not cooperating. IVF #2 in November 2012 IVF #2 Began Provera in Sept to make me start. Never started. I O'd on my own??? 2 weeks of BCPs. Period. Baseline & Labs 10/25 Stims started 10/26 ~ 225 Follistim in the am. 150 Bravelle & 5 Lupron in pm. Trigger 11/4, ER 11/6, ET 11/9 - 2 great embies. 3 Freezebabies. Beta 11/23/2012 BFN. Now what???     How exciting!   My Dh just started clomid 6 weeks ago or so and started arimdex a couple days ago.  We are hoping it helps his SA.  As a result,we put off IVF 5 that we had planned for july.  I will be dumbfounded if his SA improves so much that we can do IUI or TI, but hey, you never know. Best of luck and keep us posted.

    IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
    IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
    IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
    Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
    IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
    Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
    Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
    IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
    IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
    ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer :(
    Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
    IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

    IVF# 3= 1 egg retrieved=immature/not viable
    IVF# 4= c/p

    Found DHs BT and Me-decreased blood flow to uterus
    Recommended DE IVF w/PGD, incorporate electro-acupuncture. Decided to cycle locally
    ***New RE***
    DE IVF# 1(cycle #6) w/pgd, (freeze all): 30R, 23M, 15F, slow/poor embryo development, 4 biopsied, 1 Normal "Norm"; DE IVF w/PGD, incorporate electro-acupuncture.

    Has DH had any side effects from the Clomid?  I'm more worried about him taking something new than I am about myself lol.
