I am a lazypants. All this talk of eye cream has me curious--what is your routine and what products are must-have? My skin sucks and I need to start a routine. Right now my face gets washed in the shower and I occasionally use some Neutrogena daily moisturizer. I usually forget.
Re: Talk to me about skin care
I use all Clinique products for cleansers. I use a daily wash everyday and a scrub 1-2 times a week. Followed by their moisturizer.
I'm horrible and sleep in my makeup ::gasp:: but, if I do decide to at least take my makeup off, I use L'Oreal makeup remover (actually Target or Wal-mart knock off). As for a routine, I don't have one. I do wash my face in the shower, but sometimes I shower at night, other times in the morning. So no help there.

I'm kind of freakishly religious about my face routine, but I am anal like that. I use Philosophy Purity face wash every night, followed by a Neutrogena moisturizer. I like the Philosophy moisturizer but it's super $$$ so I only buy it sometimes. I also follow it up with an eye cream with Retinol. In the morning, I don't usually wash, but I rinse my face and use a Neutrogena moisturizer as well as a 45 SPF sunscreen. Can you tell I'm anal?!
I wash my face in the shower with Clinique Acne Free foaming face wash. I use Clinique 7-day scrub cream to exfoliate maybe 1x every 2 weeks.
I moisturize after showering with Clean & Clear dual-action moisturizer, which has salicylic acid in it or something.
I have a ton of eye/wrinkle cream that my mom has given me b/c she always buys stuff during the department store free gift promotions (along with a ton of other makeup, I can seriously open my own resale store w/ all the *** I have, lol), but I rarely use it.
oh & if your skin does really "suck", I wouldn't use body wash on your face. I know for me, I have really sensitive skin & if anything with heavy fragrance comes near me, I will totally break out. Same goes for perfume, lotions, shower gels, etc. They smell lovely, but I can't use any of them!
I use Clinque, its one of the more affordable lines in my open, has done wonders for my skin, and can be tweaked to different skin types.
This is the first time my skin has been relatively free of cystic acne in years, so I am finally trying to get a routine to deal with my scars and my dry, but no longer covered in zits skin.
I don't always get to do all the parts of my routine every day, but what I shoot for is: two minutes with the Pretika (clarisonic knock-off) and Purpose cleanser in the shower, followed by MAC primer and MAC studio fx foundation (with SPF) if I'm wearing make-up or Olay sensititve skin spf 15 moisturizer if I am not. At night, if I have time, I wash the make-up off with water and put on rosehip seed oil on my scars and a few of my forehead creases and Burt's Bees royal jelly eye cream on my eyes.
