Pink Eye

Yesterday my LO's eye was runny, I thought maybe he scratched himself because he is always rubbing his eyes when he is tired.  Then this morning he woke up and it was all gunky and gooey.  Brought him to the doctor and it's pink eye :( Poor little guy, he was all smiles at the doctor though!  We've got drops and he's taking it well.  He's been napping for two hours and hasn't eaten for four (so not like him).  Hope tonight isn't torture we've been sleep trainin and it's been going so well.

    Was his eyeball pink at all? Reece's eye lid was all red and his eye is runny, but the daycare said it wasn't pink eye because his eyeball wasn't pink. I am still wondering though.....

    Oddly enough, his eyeball isn't red.  His lid is and it's just super runny and gooey after naps.  That's why I thought he scratched himself.  Oh no, hope Reece didn't get it too :(

    My DD had viral pink eye. There is viral and bacterial. Her eye was a little swollen, the eye ball itself, the sclera (the white part) was a pinkish, not blood shot red though, and she had a gooey booger in there that looked like a straigh up green booger.

    DD had pink eye when she was about 3 months old.  I also thought she had scratched herself.  Her actual eyeball wasn't red, but she had a yellow discharge, and the skin around her eye was a little red and puffy. The ped told me if you pull down the bottom eye lid, and it's really red instead of pink, they probably have an eye infection.

    I have pink eye in both eyes right now and neither eye is actually pink. My eyelids are swollen and one of my eyes hurts- like there's pressure. I haven't had any weird eye goop but there has been more than normal white goop and they're crusty in the mornings. Neither eye has itched or felt scratchy.

    I took Jackson to the doc on Monday cause his eye was crusted shut when he woke up in the morning & was even worse after he woke up from his nap. He didn't just have pink eye, he had a double ear infection as well : / his eye wasn't pink, just gooey during the day & crusty after waking up. No fun. However, the antibiotics seem to be working wonders
