A possible food allergy for DD

Does anyone have experience with their LO and a food allergy?

I started giving DD purees a couple of weeks ago. She has only had Green Beans, Squash, Banana, Peas, and some cereal. I noticed a rash under her chin, reminds me of eczma, so I stopped giving her purees. The rash never went away but did calm down some.

I started back up with green beans for three days, no problem. Then Squash for just shy of three days, no problem. Well yesterday afternoon I let her have some of my banana & this morning I noticed more of a rash under her chin and it spread a bit more up on her chin. Does this sound like a reaction? Would you call the Dr?

I don't have any experience with food allergy, but I would call the doctor and see what they say. Does she seem like she is having any other reactions from the banana?

Could it be food stuck under there and not necessarily a reaction? a heat rash?

I have heard of rashes around the mouth as a reaction, but not under the chin. Like I said though, I don't have any experience.

I would call the dr and see what they say...my LO got hives after his 2nd time eating a particular food and I called the dr. They said it was likely an allergy based on what I described. I would just call to see what they say

Thanks ladies. I did call the Dr's office & was told that it's highly unlikely that is an allergy. I would rather be safe than sorry because DS has a peanut allergy.
