We have decided to go with a travel system. I read about the different brands and spoke with friends and it seems like the best option for our wants and needs. 4 of my co-workers have ahd babies this year and all have travel systems. They all liked their product. We have decided to go with the Chicco Keyfit.
We are going with a travel system. My sister had a baby last year and really likes hers. We're going with the Aprica Moto travel system (in twilite). Can't wait to actually have this gear in our house.. soon now.. very soon!
I saw Nay. I literally used ours like 3 times. It was too bulky, hard to maneuver and heavy. I would have preferred a nicer stroller on its own that I could use all the way through. We ended up using just a cheap umbrella stroller with some storage on the bottom as soon as DD could sit up. For baby #2 I want to get a decent stroller and use that. I already picked up a snap and go to use with my infant carrier car seat at the beginning. The only good thing about the travel system stroller was it had good storage on the bottom, but you can find that on a regular stroller and get something more streamlined, lighter and easier to manuever.

We have one, I rarely used the stroller because I wore LO for about 7 months.
If you are going that route, I'd recommend getting a three wheel travel system not the bulky 4wheel giant stroller.
I have the graco travel system and the stroller literally took up my entire trunk (and my trunk is huge!) and I think we used it maybe 4 times before buying a jogging stroller.
I used mine with DD quite a bit, but I use my umbrella stroller more. The travel system strollers are bulky, but when shopping at the mall or going for a walk, or at the zoo or whatever, I didn't mind it so much. I use my umbrella stroller if I'm going in Hobby Lobby or Penney's or something like that, something that's not a whole day outing.
We didn't have money to buy 3 different strollers like my SIL did, so we made do with what we had. My umbrella stroller was actually free from Babies R Us. I think most people are like us, that they make it work. I will say it can depend on where you live too. There are "city ladies" here that swear by a couple of different brands that they say are great for city life. I live in burbs, so I can't relate to their specifc needs.
Nay. I'm still wondering who decided that bulky thing should be called a "travel" system. I travel a lot, nationally and internationally. Travel does not equal bulky, heavy, and inconvenient. My husband and I tested a couple of "travel" systems, and I walked away after about 30 seconds. No thank you.
I don't think so... We just bought the carseat and I think we are just going to get one of those ones where you snap the carseat in, until she is able to use a different one. The travel systems just look and seem too bulky!

We went with Chicco KeyFit 30 Travel System mainly for its safety ratings. DH thought the size of the stroller itself wasn't too bad and its easy to use and put all together, I don't think its as bulky as some of the other travel systems we looked at. Car seat can be used until LO is 30lbs and the stroller up to 50lbs.

In speaking with relatives and friends, we decided to get a jogging stroller that the car seat can snap into. That way we have the ability for it to work like a travel system in the beginning, and later on, we have the jogging stroller. We are also being given an umbrella stroller as a hand-me-down from my SIL. We are hoping those two things are all we would ever need.
We bought the Britax B-agile travel system. It isn't like the regular bulky ones, it is a 3 wheel light weight stroller that you can put your carseat into. I didn't want a heavy bulky stroller. I'm kinda small so I wanted something that I could pick up and fold up with one hand.

I'm going with one. My sister got one and she loves it. Its good for when the baby is small and then you can just use the real stroller part when they get bigger. You wont have to get a new one when the baby wont sit in the car seat no more. For me it was a question on what I'm going to use for awhile.
We are doing both travel system and carrier for parents. Me and my husband are always going and doing something outside, so the travel system will be great. We are going with the Graco Urban Lite System. Lightweight, easy to fold, and highest sftey rating for car seat up to 30 pounds. I also like the idea of having the front baby carrier, for the quick trips when you don't need a stroller. A moms gotta have options right?
We used one with DD and I agree the stroller is ridiculous....but we still have it so we'll use it for this one too. We were given a jogging stroller for DD and I LovE it!
Well we really loved and registered for the Chicco Keyfit30 travel system. Although I do think I might have some trouble with the stroller part, so we also registered for the accompanying snap'n'go base which is much lighter. But I'm thinking/hoping we'll get a lot of use out of all of it, depending on the situation.
DH and I do a lot outdoors during the summer and I wanted a stroller that could handle "off roading" so we decided on the Jeep Liberty Limited Urban Terrain Stroller in Ignite (not my first choice of color, but it DH loved it so I will deal). After watching my SIL tear apart two treavel systems and my sister tear up one from all of the activities we do that involve grass, rocks, and fields we decided this will be our best route. The tires are like actual tires and after playing with one in the store we decided we really really like it. Then we like the Chicco Key Fit in the orange color(semi matches stroller) and it will work with the strolled like a travel system. So I guess in a sense we will have a travel system, but it fits our needs.
I say nay...we got chicco key fit and it was good for malls but outside the wheels are horrible. I ended up using my snap and go while she was still in carrier and got a armature jogging stroller for walks and zoo.
