anyone have any clue what the cost of moving a 3 bedroom town house into a local single family home would be in this area?
also anyone have any recommendations for a moving company?

Its not that bad - my last move from my townhouse to a single family house w/ a stop at DH's storage unit) was less than 1K. and, worth every penny.
I've used Apartment Movers for several moves (you have to box things up yourself) but otherwise they move everything for you and been really happy. They are quick, organized, etc. I used another moving company and got a quote for one price but when the driver showed up, he totally went against it and I wasn't really in a position to argue since I had to move THAT day.
