Any second-time mommies?

Is anyone feeling like they're popping early?  I mean, I know, I'm like 9 weeks into this thing (and I didn't lose ALL of my baby weight after Emma--maybe like 7 lbs left over), but I already like I LOOK pregnant.  And people are already asking....  anyone else?

Re: Any second-time mommies?

  • I'm a plus size anyway, so with DS I really didn't even start showing until about 25 weeks...now I can already see that I'm getting bigger. We were hoping to wait until after our ultrasound at 20 weeks before announcing but I'm not sure we can hide it that long.

  • Not showing yet but I definitely feel bloated.  Some days I look pregnant and others I dont.  But I am currently losing weight do to being sick.  Something I definitely did not do the first time around.

  • I just got my first pair of maternity pants in the mail today and I'm actually excited to wear them tomorrow so I can finally be comfortable.  I look like I'm already 4 months along.  They say you pop earlier with each pregnancy.

  • I gained a ton with DS and he was 9 lbs. 14.9 oz. at birth so I figure the old ute is pretty stretched out.  Most of the time I get a pooch late at night or if I have pooped in a few days.  Other than that, I really just feel like I look a little "thicker" during the day.  =)

  • Oh yes. I lost all of my weight with DD and got back to my former size 0...now people are staring at my stomach. I know a lot of it's bloat, but it's totally obvious so work is getting suspicious. Scrubs are supposed to be forgiving!

  • Ummm... it's obnoxious.  This was last week (at 9 weeks).  I'm noticeably bigger this week.  I gained 25 lbs with DD.  I don't think that will happen this go around.

  • umm I still looked 4 months pregnant from DD when I got pregnant and now what was flabby is definitely popping out a lot more, everyone who knows me has asked if I was pregnant again because it is so apparent. :(

Mine barely fit now!  I am not over weight, but very curvy, my pants barely fit now.  I think I am starting to be noticeable.  With my 2nd pregnancy, at 12 weeks, I had 2 patients ask when I was due.

  • Definitely! The nurse at the cardiologist last week noticed.

  • I'm pg with baby #4 and I have a huge bloated belly after dinner. I had to suck it in the other night because we were out with friends and I didn't want to tell.

  • By the end of the day, I for sure look like I've popped.  In the morning, it's been a little smaller of a belly.  The irony: I've lost those pesky 7 lbs that I couldn't get rid of pre-pregnancy from having DD.  My belly is definitely starting to show, though.

  • Yes!  I feel the same as you.  I had actually lost more than what I was pp but have gained probably between 5 and 7 lbs back - so I feel the same as you!

This is my third pregnancy, and I feel like I'm actually not showing as much or as early as I did with my second.  I look back at pictures and I was wearing full-on maternity clothing at 13 weeks...tops and all.

My stomach has definitely "rounded" out and is sticking out there, but it's not as apparent as it was last time...and I think I can make it past 13 weeks before moving into my maternity stuff this time around...at least i hope!

  • Yep, I'm at 11 weeks and feel like I looked this way with #1 at like ~18 weeks.  Ugh.

  • I just look really bloated, you can kind of notice the bump but it's hidden with my upper stomach bloat. I did notice though that my uterus is moving up much quicker.

  • This is pretty much EXACTLY how I look right now, too!  Ok, glad to hear that I'm not the only one.  Evening is definitely worse for the "popped" effect, but throughout the day I feel like I "look pregnant" intermittently.  It's weird b/c it feels almost embarrassing to start showing so early, but I guess like a PP said, the old ute is stretched out!
