Weight Loss

So it took me a year to decide that I needed to take the weight off that I gained during and after pregnancy. I am so excited to say I have lost 10.2 pounds.I know that isnt a LOT of weight but I am so happy. I still have about 78 pounds to go to get down to my wedding weight. I am hoping by this time next year I am at a healthy weight and I am happy with myself again!

    Good Luck. I am going through a "lifestyle change" right now because once I get it off, I want to stay there.

    I noticed in the past few weeks my body is starting to somewhat resemble its former self.  I haven't lost much weight recently, but I think my hips are settling into their normal place and my boobs are getting smaller.  Funny how it took a year for that to happen.

    10 pounds is a great weight loss!  You should be very proud of yourself.  I have put on weight since my wedding too and would love to get it off!  GL with the rest of the weight. And congrats on getting healthy!

  • awesome!!! that is so great u r doing it when u feel motivated bc then it will work and stay off!!  pre preg i needed to lose weight. i only gained 25 pounds with DD. and over the past year i have lost 62 pounds. i have about 18 to go. it hasnt been easy especially when u hit plateaus, so never give up. each day is a new day so if u cheat one day hop back on the saddle the next day. u can do it and will feel great!! congrats:)

    This is pretty much my scenario. Before getting pregnant I was a good 40 pounds over weight. I only gained 24 lbs during pregnancy, but I had GD so I was on a strict diet. Once I had Bay I was able to eat whatever I want and I did. LOL! So when I started to diet my goal was to loose 88.4 pounds.

    I have changed my diet completely. I am calorie counting. Using portion control and eating 6 small meals a day. I am also doing lots of cardio 4 times a week. I walk at a incline for 1.5 miles on the treadmill and I do the stair climber for about a 1/2 mile.

    Congratulations on your weight loss! I bet you feel soooooo good right now! That is something to brag about!!!!

          well thanks! it is a crazy accomplishment. it also has been an extremely emotional one. i have learned tho that it truly has to be a lifestyle change, so a lot of experimenting and searching with food is necessary!!!

  • Awesome!!  10lbs is a lot if you ask me!  I have a lot to lose myself and I would love to be able to say I've lost 10.  Good luck with the rest...I know you'll meet your goal and feel great!

    thats great! cardio is huge, as well as strength training.  u r doing good, be lroud. do u watch extreme makeover weightloss edition? i find it so motivating. i figure if these 500lb ppl can drop over half their weight i can lose what i nees to. plus i am in love with chris poWell! lol

  • Thanks ladies! I am really excited. Seeing that number on the scale this morning has really pumped me up to keep going!

    It is hit and miss if I watch the show. But if I come accross it I usually do watch it. I know that I can not loose weight with out doing cardio. I was a athlete all through my childhood into early adulthood so my body reacts well to working out. Now that I am older I had to change my eating habits as well. It is much harder to get it off. But it feels so good to see the # on the scale to drop. :)
