Someone posted a pic of apple pie in the dessert post and that has me hungry for applie pie with a slice of cheddar cheese and scoop of vanilla.
Of course, DH thinks it's odd that I like cheese on my apple pie. But he dips cool ranch doritos in his lemon yogurt.
other combos that I think ar delicious and he finds odd:
pickles on my grilled cheese
peanut butter and dorito sandwich or peanut butter and bologna sandwich (these are not a WW friendly choice so these don't happen so much anymore)
string cheese and peanuts (wrap the string cheese around the peanut)
I know I'm not alone, what is your weird combo?

this is very close. my recipe is in a book at home. use cake flour, not self rising.

Geeeee-ross!
No bacon on ice cream, and no cheese on pie!
back to original topic, for me a bologna sandwich must be constructed thusly:
white bread
bologna
sliced american cheese
lays potato chips
white bread.
ETA: and i like tomatoes and apples (not together, of course) on my grilled cheese. a cheesy tomato grill is cheddar, mozz and tomatoes on thick bread, and an apple grill can be any number of things, but havarti, cheddar, and granny smiths are good.
It's never occurred to me to put apples on a sandwich. I may need to try this.

You should try sweet pickles and peanut butter sandwiches. Perfect mix of sweet and salty.
you need a tough bread to stand up to the weight, and slice the apples pretty thing. but it's pretty simple.
I like to eat tuna salad with tortilla chips... Yum yum!
