I started working at my job this past May, and I've been pretty down that I won't have FMLA when the baby arrives. I was just reading over the new employee handbook HR sent out, and they have Parental Leave for staff that are not eligible for FMLA, so I can take 12 weeks/480 hours off for the baby!

No. I'm just happy to have job security and to not be in a position where I have to rush back so quickly. I do have STD for the first six weeks at 66% of my pay once my vacation and sick leave run out or 30 days pass, whichever is longest.
