Terrible bath experience w/ DD the other night

So DD was in a bad mood. And normally she loves baths. Or at least she's very calm during them. So I figure, hey, maybe giving her a bath will put her in a better mood. Nope. It probably didn't help that DH had the water quite a bit warmer than usual. We weren't even half way done & she was just screaming. And pretty much kept on til after I got clothes on her. I felt so bad! Poor baby! I know now to make sure she's doing good beforehand!

    Usually when my DD is having an epic cry... she will continue that epic cry with whatever we do with her until she calms down.

    If the water was too hot -- that probably didn't help. Perhaps you could check the temp before putting your DD into the bath so she doesn't freak out or get hurt?

    walmart has these ducks that you can run under the water to tell you if the water is to hot. I love them because whats hot to a baby is normal for me.

    Usually my dd will calm down in the bath, but then start screaming again as soon as we lift her out of the water.

    DH always does the water. He had never had it like that before & I didn't know it until she was already in there.

    I think the duck is cute and im sure ava willlove playing with it when she gets older. I trust my thermometer. I have one of those triscans. That and my sensitive elbow. Im having my dh do her water and baths now as well we take turns lol im scared when i go to kellyclarkson on 08/01 she wont get her bath if he doesnt get comfortable with it now. Hes so funnywhen i tell him its too warm he will freak out and grab a bunch ofice cubes hahaha it cracks me up
