So, let me tute my own horn for a second. I was really really nervous about my shots and my first one was this morning. It was like NOTHING! I'm so relived and it gives me hope that I can do this and it will work for us! GO ME!

    Woo hoo!  That is a major accomplishment!  I am so nervous for my first one next week...

    Nice work!  I know, I felt the same way after doing the first one--not so bad!
    TTC #1 since 2/2011. Me: Age 36. Stage III Endo and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
    IUI #1 March: BFN, IUI #2 April: BFN.
    IVF #1: Started stims 7/30--CANCELLED.
    IVF #1.2: Stims start 10/8/12, ER: 10/20/12; 11R/8M/4F, 5DT: 10/25/12, transfer of a 4AA and 3AB Blast. BFP on HPT 10/31/12; Beta #1: (16 DPO) 954! Beta #2: (18 DPO) 1968! First U/S: TWINS!! A/S: TWO BOYS! EDD: 7/13/13

    Congratulations on your first injection! When I gave my self the first Lupron injection my husband said to me, you didnt even flinch. I said it barely hurt! You got this!

    Failed IVF #1 (July 2012)

    Congrats!  The first is always the hardest, but they definitely get easier from here on out.

                          

    PAIFW/SAIFW

    DS1 born July 2002 (previous marriage).

    TTC since Oct 08. DH Dx w/testicular cancer March 09.
    MFI due to retrograde ejaculation/azoospermia.
    5/2 IVF #1 cancelled due to large follie.
    6/14 start Lupron for IVF #1.2. 6/22 start stims.
    7/4 ER and Biopsy.
    7/9 Transferred 2 (1-4BB and 1-3BB) embryos.  4 frosties.
    7/15 +HPT 6dp5dt. 7/18 Beta #1: 193. 7/20 Beta #2: 415.
    8/10 1st u/s - It's triplets!

    Right!!????  The hardest is the first one and u will be ok after that!  It's little scary again when u have to do multi shots later in the cycle but u can do it :)

    Mar-Apr-May/12: All 3 IUI (w/ Femara) - BFN

    May/12 IVF journey in the works...
    IVF #1 w/ ICSI #1 (Gonal, Menopur & Ganirelix)
    5/29-6/18: BCP, 6/21-6/27: Stim, 6/30: ER
    7/5: ET 2 5-days blastocysts are transferred, none made to freeze :(
    7/17: Beta #1 - 616!!, 7/23: Beta #2 - 6818
    8/2: u/s #1 - a healthy seahorse found & one empty sac, 8/16: u/s #2 - one peanut! HB @ 180
    10/30: It's a girl!!! EDD: 3/23/13

    Congrats!  I was terrified when they told me I needed to give myself Ovidrel a few cycles ago, but it was much easier than I anticipated.  (Granted, I know that's one of the "easier" ones...baby steps!)

    Hope it's easier from here on out!

    TTC since March 2010 ~ Dx Unexplained IF September 2011
    2011: IUI + Clomid = CP#1
    2012: 3 more IUIs + Clomid = 3 more CPs. One on-our-own pg, also CP
    2013: BTB IUI + Lupron/Follistim/Prometrium/PIO = CP #6
    IF testing, RPL testing, Autoimmune testing = all normal
    So lost.

    Way to go!! You give me hope that injects really won't be so bad! I'm also very nervous for when we get to that step!  Good luck as you move forward!

    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d
    7/3, 7/31, 9/25 - IUI#2-4=BFN
    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d
    FET#1 3/2/12 - 2 blasts =BFP!! EDD 11/18/12, us#1 = twins! Confirmed m/c 5w6d
    4/20-surprise BFP and another c/p 4w2d

    Good for you!  I also gave myself my first shot today (just tonight, actually) and I felt the same sense of pride and confidence.  We can do this!

    I give shots to other people all day long...but when it came time to give one to myself I was a nervous wreck!  Glad you got that first one under your belt:-)
    me:37 DH: 37, married 2009
    unexplained infertility 
    4 IUI cycles= CP
    IVF #1=18 eggs retrieved, 16 mature and 14 fert. with ICSI ("freeze all" at day 2 OHSS)
    FET #1- 2 (day3) embies, BFP
