Favorite bib(s) --for slobber and mealtime?

We're using the Green Sprouts terry bibs for slobber and the JJ Cole for mealtime.  Even on the smallest snap (JJ Cole), he still ends up with purees around his neck and on his shirt.  I've started tucking a paper towel between the bib and his neck to help keep him a bit cleaner.

What brand of bibs are you using for slobber and mealtime?  Any tricks to keeping LO cleaner during meals?

  • My favorite bibs for slobber and when he's nursing are this 10-pack from BRU: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12124262

My favorites for when he's eating solids are the Bumkins bibs because they can be washed/dried unlike some of the others. Found them pretty cheap in 3-packs on Amazon too.

  • Cloth napkins tied around LO's neck work amazingly for those with small necks:)

  • We use cloth ones for slobber (I think they are Gerber, plus a bunch of hand me downs). For meals it is hard as I think the only thing that stays clean is the bib. We usually feed her in just a diaper for breakfast and then wipe her clean before getting dressed and the same for dinner since bath is right after.

  • I'm kinda embarrassed to say we don't use bibs and never really have.

DS is too busy trying to shove them in his mouth for them to do any good. With spoon feeding we haven't really been messy. Hopefully when he starts feeding himself more than puffs he will learn to tolerate bibs more.

  • We have the Tommee Tippee ones, too. They work pretty well, but I like our Baby Bjorn one better.

  • We have a couple A+A wrap around bibs. Kind of like ponchos.. seem to keep the slobber off his shirt while eating.
  • Slobber/Bottle Feeding: Huge variety, we were gifted a million bibs

Solids: We use these bibs (I've seen them everywhere, but don't know the particular brand), they are like big towels almost with a head hold cut out like a t-shirt. It covers her whole front, and goes down enough in the back that it tucks behind her so the neck isn't too wide.

Pulling the bib over her head is not at all messy like I would have thought. I've only found them with cartoons on them though. I'm still keeping my eyes open for plain ones.
