Return of AF... with a vengeance?

I finally got my first post-partum period, and it is the heaviest I have ever had in my life. Did anyone else experience a really heavy first post-partum period? I did speak to my doctor's office today and am monitoring it...

yep. it sucks. i used to have light flow for maybe 4 days. pp, now much heavier still and sticks around for 6 days total. boo! the first 2 ppp were the worst for me though. sorry.

I got mine back around 7or 8 months PP an it looked like a murder scene! I think that's secretly part of the reason I got pregnant again so quickly - to avoid that!

I got mine back around 9 months and it was terrible. I was soaking through jumbo tampons and pads. Plus it lasted for 6 or 7 days. Luckily it wasn't that heavy the entire time. It seems to have gotten better as the months go on.

yup, terrible pp af here too. i got mine at about 9 months pp and they are still terrible. for the first 2 days i bleed through tampons like crazy. and then they still last another 4-5 days after that. i was on bcp for almost 12 years before getting pregnant, which made them much lighter and shorter, but i haven't gone back on it yet. i hope when i do they won't be so bad. that or i'll just get pregnant again...we are still deciding on timing!

Yes! I got mine at 10 months and omg it was horrible! It felt like I had never had my period before, horrible cramps, heavy flow and my hormones were all over the place. Thankfully it calmed down by the next month, and the third cycle wasn't bad at all. Good luck, it gets better!

Why did I open this post? Ahhhh. I haven't gotten it yet, but I also have Paragard which can make your periods more intense. When it finally comes back, shlts gonna get real around here.

That sucks! I've had 2. First one was basically spotting and my last one was on the light side of normal. I'm usually lucky when it comes to periods!

I am relieved someone else brought this up because I'm on my 2nd cycle PP and I've soiled the sheets overnight and through my pants today (on day 6!). This is ridiculous.
