Teeth grinding?

Anyone else's LO grind their teeth? DD's center 2 top teeth have finally come in, and now she grinds them with her bottom 2. It makes a clicking sound. It is like nails on a chalkboard. It makes my stomach turn.

I was planning on asking my pedi about it at her 15 month visit, unless there is reason to call sooner.

Cassopea? Any thoughts?

My lo does this all the time. It drives me nuts! We had stop using the paci after her bday but soon gave it back to her so she have the paci to chew instead of grinding her teeth.

Callie just started hitting her teeth together. I think it's just them realizing that they're there and that they touch, etc. I'm thinking it will probably stop once they realize something else new!

i'm really curious to see responses to this.

DD has been grinding her teeth for a few months now. I mentioned it at her last pedi visit and the dr said she could just be getting used to new teeth, etc...but her pedi is lax about everything (i'm looking to switch).

Her teeth aren't new...she's had 2 top & 2 bottom teeth for months and hasn't stopped grinding them.

Em grinder her teeth for a while, but now she only does it when I yell at her for something. I wish I knew why because I really want her to stop. I don't want her to make it a habit.

Ash too. It didn't last long.

Totally normal and it may continue for a while. Babies are getting new teeth and their jaws are growing (and will continue to grow through childhood) so it is common.
