I have a Moby and have tried it twice, but Madelyn hated it- especially in the cradle type position. She was OK for about two minutes in the upright, in between the boobs position with the fabric pulled up behind her head for support, but then had a fit.
Is she just too little to start wearing? She is about 7 1/2 lbs...
Do I need to just keep trying until she gets used to it? I also have an Ergo, but not the infant insert. Perhaps I should get the Heart2Heart and see if she likes that better? I really want to wear her, but don't want her to be uncomfortable.
Re: FTM Baby Wearing...
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
Exactly what PP said - put her in when she's eaten and is sleeping, and then go for a walk or walk/rock her around the house. My kids always liked lots of singing at that stage, too. Just keep trying! My older son took awhile to get used to babywearing, but my younger son took to it quite quickly. hth

You can definitely wear a one week old baby. I loved my stretchy wrap at that age with an upright hold but lost the love by 3 months or so--she was big enough that it started to sag by then! I would try tying it a little differently (I like my stretchy TIGHT) or positioning her in it a little differently. Also I loved my RS with a heart to heart hold. Not a fan of the Ergo insert--I liked being able to feel her on me, and that is too thick for that.
Good luck.
